“Non Stop No Stops”

The installation of the bar “Non Stop No Stops” will be
travelling along with the “Projekt Migration” for three
months. It provides a space to extend the exhibition with
accompanying events. During the run of the exhibition,
this secondary theatre will change its location several
times. The main concern for the group (Pit, Ladengold,
Warchold, Letic´), regarding the subject of migration, is to
claim the openness of all borders, in order to publicly discuss
aspects of exclusion, the infringement of borders and
the reflection of a fundamental life. For the group, using
a bar to create an autonomous free space where one can
meet other people, is the smallest common multiple of
that which is necessarily possible. The following is an
extract from their considerations: “Standing outside the
centre is a new experience for some people. Demands for
space and the individual interest in social intercourse have
developed to a level that has become widely visible to
others. Certainly not everyone can envisage to live on a
meagre, seemingly endless plane, whose margins promise
a paradise, which no one has ever seen, though. And what,
if yearning to see these margins is becoming the main content
of life. Not ascertained by anything, but rather pursuing
an individual feeling on one’s own resources, one
tries to find a way out of the impossibility and the injustice
which reign our lives. The desire for a society that
is capable of feelings beyond pre-conceived thoughts and
borders, is part of this ‘site-unspecific’ bar. The bar is as
good as you are.”
In the area of the bar „Non Stop No Stops“ the archives
of Kölnischer Kunstverein are located too.
