Through this unique approach to transdisciplinary collaboration among institutions in the areas of science, documentation and art, forms of presentation and argumentation are developed that challenge and question the framework to which considerations of migration are commonly confined. That much of the research undertaken is being carried out by investigators with a migration background of their own makes the Migration Project itself a locus of self-empowerment, social participation and negotiation.
